Senior Capstone

My name is Joseph Phelan and I’m a senior at St. Bonaventure University. Three of the 120 credits that I need to graduate college require me to create a capstone to demonstrate what I learned in journalism/mass communication since freshman year. Picking a capstone can be difficult, but I’ve had the opportunity to cover St. Bonaventure women’s basketball team for The Intrepid since freshman year. It’s really a no brainer that my capstone would be another season covering the women. Over the next five or so months, I’ll live-tweet every home game, write game stories, player profiles and opinion pieces right here on http://www.feelingjustswell.com under the Capstone category.

For those of you who will follow my capstone, I’ll provide a little background on the name of this website. My grandpa passed away during my senior year of high school. He meant so much to me. He inspired me in so many ways, so as tribute to him I named this site after a phrase he said regularly. If you ever asked him how he was he’d respond with, “just swell.” He had a shirt that read, “I feel swell.”  His “I feel swell” shirt hangs in my bedroom.
