NBA Draft: First Look

The NBA Draft Lottery took place tonight. It was a night I’ve had circled on my calendar for a long, long time. I’m fully satisfied with what took place on May 20. Two top-10 picks, including the third overall selection? It’s beautiful. Obviously the first pick would have been great, but Philly will get either Joel Embiid, Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker or Dante Exum. That’s pretty freaking awesome. Im my opinion, Embiid will go first to the Cleveland Cavs. Now that’s just my initial though. The Cavs obviously need a big man; they also need an immediate contributor since they’re desperate for postseason play, which means I wouldn’t be surprised if they went with Parker who can instantly help their offense. Would the Bucks select a small forward in Wiggins even if they are committed to Greek Freak? I really don’t know. I will have my big board updated throughout the next month. If Wiggins falls to Philly, well it would be the best news ever. I’m still optimistic about that. But let’s be real, I wouldn’t mind having Parker or Exum on this team. Exum provides quickness as a combo guard. He’ll need to improve his shooting since MCW shoots poorly. But that’s an exciting backcourt for sure. Obviously the Sixers first selection will determine what they do with their second selection, so I won’t dive into what might be of the tenth overall pick. These are just my initial thoughts of Philly acquiring two top-10 picks. It’s an exciting time to be a Philly fan, just enjoy this next month of actual NBA action until June 26 brings the next level of excitement for the Sixers. I’ll have a numerous amount of posts about what Philly will do since I know exactly where they are picking.
